Artist Statement

"The Wave" is part of a larger series called “Plastic Paradise,” which explores the relationship of man-made materials and natural landscapes. In the series, plastic bags are carefully sculpted into abstract scenes through posing and lighting. This specific image gives the illusion of depth to the building's facade while the vibrant blues bring energy to the city block.

About This Project

Andrea Dunn was the winner of the 2016 People’s Choice WAC mural, and also won the alumni design contest for the photo project that hangs above the new ShopColumbia.
